I worked at a grocery store, years ago, in the bakery dept. and the full cakes, breads and cookies had to be thrown out the day of expiration and no one was allowed to take any home. Food should be taking to shelters or let employees take them!! Such a waste but glad someone is getting it

I have the chest that my mom used when she moved to the USA back in 1947. She was from England & my dad was American soldier, wounded in WW2 & in a hospital in London when they met. Mom sailed here on the Queen Elizabeth. Dad sailed home on the Queen Mary as most soldiers did. Also have Dad's foot locker from the War. I treasure both of these!!❤
